For 4 years now I have studied The Gene Keys, an open system for self-illumination. This week was deeply contemplative about Gene Key 36 and incredibly intense in the emotional body. It pulled me inward to study the solar plexus center and I even created some energy healings specifically for this center.
If you are familiar with this beautiful piece of wisdom literature, then you have possibly encountered this Key. The author of this work proposes the premise that human consciousness is experienced in 3 frequencies– a shadow frequency, a gift frequency and a siddhic frequency.
The Shadow of the 36 — Turbulence
I felt a very strong activation of this shadow of turbulence this week. Come Thursday, I found myself apologizing to my fiancé about how much turbulence we went through this week. He said I know, I’ve been in the undertow at the bottom of the ocean with the shells and the rocks! In that exact moment, I felt a burst of compassion come into my heart and I hugged and kissed him.
While I thought some more about this shadow state, I began to visualize water. I often dream about water. When the water is turbulent and stormy in my dreams, the emotional body is turbulent and stormy. This week, the solar plexus was intense! It is also interesting to note that this week brought powerful geomagnetic storms that created a chance for the northern hemisphere to view the Aurora Borealis as well as severe thunderstorms and at least 4 tornadoes in our area that I am aware of (EF0-1 category). Unfortunately, I missed the opportunity to experience the aurora in person here in the eastern part of the country, but I got to see many pictures online. I am not a young body anymore or I would have stayed up all night last night just to get a peek at the aurora behind the thick cloud cover. I went to bed thinking about the beautiful display of color that was present behind the clouds.
Turbulence creates beauty.
As Gene Keys author Richard Rudd says, every shadow contains a gift. This Key happens to move from the shadow of turbulence to the gift of humanity to the siddhi of compassion. And it is experienced as a fluctuation, as if we are passengers on a boat as we ride the immense waves of turbulence of our emotional bodies. Rudd also teaches that consciousness does not divide itself, but it works to integrate the higher frequencies of the gift & siddhic levels into our lives. As I became more consciously aware of this turbulent reality in my body, I allowed the wave to ride naturally to shore and toward the end of the week, I felt somewhat more at peace. Although, I do see in the true sidereal transit that Mercury is still in these 36 energies for a couple more days. But Mercury has invited us to actually talk about it, which is cool. Hence this post.
I will leave us with a contemplation I wrote about the 36. I hope you enjoy it and let’s all remember to ride those waves and let them reach shore before we make any serious decisions or confront those people in our lives that this energy is directed toward that we will regret later.
I often dream about water
In my dreams the water can range from peaceful, calm and still to waves of immeasurable heights
Tsunamis & Tempests
Hurricanes & tornadoes
This is the shadow of turbulence of the emotional body
My thoughts took me to the scene in Frozen II when Elsa needed to struggle with the water spirit to work with it, to harness and use its power for Good
She tries and fails many times before she meets the water spirit in the form of a horse and then fights with it
In a sense she gets swallowed up by the turbulent waters and then emerges on the back of the water spirit as she rode it to Ahtohallan where she met her greatest challenge yet, but also where she met her True Self and was granted the gift of seeing the Truth.
Her victory came about when she realized that the water spirit wanted to work with her—not against her—so she let go of her fear, so it could help her complete her mission for the people of Arendelle
There is so much real-life wisdom to digest from this scene. We often fight against our own shadow nature and resist facing it, but when we do we are totally transformed and we learn from the experience of working with our shadows how beneficial it is for our spiritual growth to do so. If God is for us and not against us, the God who dwells within us wants to work with everything about us that makes us human.
I’ve added this meditation here as an audio for you to listen to.
